#5 NECC Knights dominate in win over STCC
Haverhill, MA (01/29/2024) — Five players in double figures and pair of double-doubles propelled the #5 nationally ranked Northern Essex Community College men's basketball team to dominating 108-31 victory of visiting Springfield Tech. With the win, the Knights remain unbeaten in conference play at 13-0 while improving to 18-1 overall.
Luis Reynoso (Lawrence) had game highs in both points and rebounds as he recorded 28 points and 16 rebounds on an impressive 10 of 19 shooting, including six of 10 from beyond the three point arc. Karl Wolfgang (Douala, CM) continued his strong play in returning to the lineup as he recorded 10 points and 14 points.
Kyoya Sasaki (Tokyo, JP), Darlin Santiago (Salem) and Gabe Zorilla (Lawrence) also added double digit points with 14, 13 and 12 respectively.
Edwin SamMbaka (Paris, FR) led the defense with five steals while Sasaki added four of his own.
The Knights led at halftime by a score of 62-18
